What we consistently show appreciation and gratitude for will appreciate and grow. It will return the appreciation by growing bigger and taller over time. Conversely, if we do not show appreciation and attend to our plants, it will become brittle and withered.
How do we develop the Attitude of Gratitude?

Finding things to be grateful for
We tend to concentrate on the things we do not have in our lives. We compare our lives with others and beat ourselves up for missing some things in our lives or relationships. These are ungrateful attitude toward our lives.
We complain about minor things that are missing without realizing the things we do have in our lives. We take the people close to us for granted and not focus on deepening the relationships and more meaningful.
Developing the feeling of gratitude begins by noticing the more minor things people do for us. Whether it includes holding the door or even helping with house chores, we should be thankful for the efforts and the help that we received.
In addition, we can be thankful for everything we have in our lives, including food, shelter, and other essential elements of life. Being grateful for even the minute things can help us become positive towards our life.
Be consistent
Developing the attitude of gratitude requires consistency and practice. We start noticing the benefits of being thankful when we consistently practice them daily. One of the ways is to maintain a journal to note down the things we are grateful for. Writing down the feelings will help us count our blessings and make we feel thankful for what we have in our life.
We can even note down the more minor things that our family does for us to remember that their efforts is meaningful. Such acts help us become more thankful towards the people we have in our lives and reinforce us to be consistent in practicing gratitude.
The Bottom Line
Feeling dissatisfied and ungrateful for what we have is the feeling. However, practicing gratitude will have positive impact in our lives. We tend to unrealized the value of things and people in our lives until it is taken away or lost. Therefore, we must practice thankfulness to bring positivity to our lives and ourselves.
